That's sad. I'm happy for you, that you got over it.
I myself haven't been to a public pool for some years after my teenage years, because I felt too fat and ugly to wear a bathing suit. I'm so glad, that I got over it. I missed so much those years. And I hope, that you will experience many new and wonderful things now, that you got rid of long sleeves. :)
