Avalonia advertises that it can be used without XAML. I don't want to use XAML, so that's good. But I ran into a problem I couldn't solve with just C#.
I boiled it down to a SSCCE and posted my question to StackOverflow, specifically saying I don't want to use XAML. Sure enough, I got an answer: in XAML.
Being polite, I said that was helpful and asked if the person could show me how to do it in C#. And, sure enough, they asked "why do you want to do that?"
StackOverflow never disappoints me.
