"content": "Waking at 5 AM this morning, heard the first flock of White-fronted Geese passing overhead. This is the season! For about two weeks in late September they pass over #Portland en route from their Arctic breeding grounds - often at night or very high up, in huge noisy flocks. Their cries en masse are piercingly keen, attention-arresting, uniquely distinct from our usual Canadas and Cacklers. Keep bedroom windows cracked open at night for a bit and listen!\nhttps://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Greater_White-fronted_Goose/sounds\n#Birding #Oregon",
