The reason I went all-in on a nostr is because I really believe that what's going to make social media better is if tools are given to the individual to curate how social media feels for them. And that's going to be very hard to accomplish in a centralised system where its sole purpose is to please shareholders.
So, with this open system, with this decentralised system, there can be an alignment of values between the individual and the experience they get to have in a social media platform. We can help with that by creating, you know, I think jack (npub1sg6…f63m) said something about multiple algorithms. That's one of the tools we can give people so that they can curate their own social media experience.
And that's possible because we can all work together to create that atmosphere and give those tools to individuals, so you don't fall under this giant algorithm owned by one company that can then steer how conversations are experienced online. Power to the people✊
