The Abu Dhabi Family Development Foundation has officially launched the "Community Ambassadors" initiative, aiming to raise community awareness about important family and social issues through a training program for a group of university students from Zayed University and Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanitarian Sciences. The selected students will be trained to serve as ambassadors for community awareness and will reflect the foundation's commitment to engaging all segments of society in addressing pressing social issues. The initiative aims to enhance community efforts to combat violence by empowering these students to spread awareness and establish vital communication channels within their communities under the umbrella of the "One Family" initiative. The training program, which will last for an academic year, will cover important family and social issues such as child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and human trafficking. Salama Al-Omeiri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Family Development Foundation, said that the initiative is a significant step that aligns with Abu Dhabi's strategic goals for family quality of life and emphasizes the foundation's commitment to developing the educational and leadership skills of university students, providing new opportunities for youth to actively participate in the social sector. The initiatives under the "One Family" umbrella contribute to the comprehensive coverage of the Abu Dhabi Family Development Foundation's services, deepening the understanding of important family and social issues, including human trafficking, among youth and other community segments, in addition to developing young people's personal skills, such as self-confidence and effective communication, by empowering them to take on key roles.
