When it makes shit up (& it does, a lot) in a statically-typed language the IDE flags it immediately. In a dynamic language it just created a potential runtime hazard.
Now multiply that up by inexperienced junior programmers.
Conclusion: Looks like consulting will be a really good option for funding comfortable retirements for programmers of a certain age.
