The *BEST* was that of a friend that completely cut contact with me, forever, after I told her I was writing a story. Years later I was told she thought I was trying to get her to publish my story in the magazine she was the editor. Such a good friend, wasn't she? =)
Now, I don't tell everyone I write, and most of those worthy enough to know answer with a very incredulous "you?" =)
