You're not going to find proof for symbolism. It's not how symbolism works. As long as the designer doesn't say it clearly no one else can say it's an absolute fact, but personally I find it unbelievably naive and foolish to not recognise this interpretation when the red bloody hand is a known symbol for Palestinian intifada since this tragedy took place.
