Unfortunately (or fortunately…?), when a Misskey user or Pleroma user quotes a Mastodon user's post, the Mastodon user will not be notified of the quote thanks to their implementation(philosophical) differences.
I've said it before multiple times, but I believe the biggest difference between Misskey and Mastodon, in terms of Lead Dev's vision, is that Gargron despises Twitter (and I don't blame 'em!) while Syuilo was terminally on twitter―to the point where Twitter wasn't good enough and wanted to make Syuilo's own version of Twitter!
