I forget how unusual it is switching instance.
I kinda like the change really. If it scares you, I think you are best having an easy-come-easy-go kind of attitude about it.
Don't worry too much if people get lost along the way. If you miss them, and they miss you, you'll find each other again. And you can always have another account if you can't federate with someone.
It's nothing that can't be fixed.
I know people get a bit bothered about saving all their posts and whatnot, but it's micro-blogging, you don't need to save all that crap! I've got loads of this garbage - I mean - these thought-provoking posts.
