Watching the version of "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott, and the scene with the homeless family and now I'm being haunted with memories from when I was homeless during the holidays. Being cold, alone, huddled in blankets. Literally starving. I wish I could forget. Knowing others were together with family and friends eating nice meals, watching sports or movies together. Warm. Full. This knowledge broke me in a way that I can never heal from.
