overbuy on performance, don't listen to autistic IT guys because they have time to futz around making a ramshackle assemblage of linux drivers work for every day tasks. And old machines basically need linux to really be quick enough to not drive you crazy

It's great how easy it is to replace stuff on thinkpads, but I don't like how often I had to replace them.
