Lately, I’ve been thinking about the strange intersection of nature and technology. We’ve spent centuries mastering plants—cultivating, modifying, even engineering them. But what if we’ve been looking at it all wrong? What if plants are already more advanced than we assume?
Roots form complex underground networks, fungi transmit signals, and some plants even respond to touch. They communicate, adapt, and evolve in ways we barely understand. What happens when we start wiring them up, adding circuits, sensors, and electricity into the equation? Could we create a new form of symbiosis? A language between silicon and chlorophyll?
Maybe it’s just the mad scientist in me, but I can’t help but feel like we’re on the brink of something weird and wonderful. A future where forests generate power, vines act as data conduits, and trees “talk” in pulses of bioelectricity.
Or maybe I’ve just been staring at my wired-up plants for too long. Either way, the experiment continues.
