It has reached the time of the year when I’m dumping out about half of the hummingbird food from the feeders. Today I even got smart and mixed up a half-batch, rather than filling the feeder all the way.
There are still a few hummingbirds eating from the feeder, but one this morning checked all of the “flowers” and left without actually eating much. Turns out there was black crud growing on the bottom of the “flowers.” Sorry, buddy.
