I've heard the same thing. Switching nominees at the last possible moment ensures that the new person avoids debates with other candidates, as well as the GOP's nominee. There will be no vetting, no challenging, the the propaganda media will fawn over the bravery of the new person for stepping up, while shedding a tear for Biden.
