I was chatting with someone who was talking about how much money they save by using a car share instead of owning a car.
When we actually compared notes, I actually spend less on my car than they do on car shares even though I drive a large "luxury" station wagon and don't drive much.
The big cost that would normally tilt things in favor of a car share is depreciation, but depreciation on my vehicle has been (slightly) negative since I bought it 3 years ago.
