A lot of that early synth stuff (Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, etc.) is just nuts. Been watching some live performance videos from that era and I'm just thinking "who does anything like that?"
I'm not talking about DJs or any of the modern tooling (samplers, loopers, Ableton Live, etc.), but just executing on raw performance chops.
