Use #rust they said, the people there are nice they said.
Opened PRs to improve existing features of two Rust projects, got the PRs closed on sight by maintainers who gave strong burnout vibes.
Never happened to me in years of contributing to #golang projects: even one-maintainer projects with no commit for two years accepted my PRs and cut a release.
I know I am not entitled to my contributions being accepted, but I cannot shake the vibe that this community is unhealthy. I'll keep using my internal forks, and avoid this language for future projects.
