I haven't had a pain specialist in years - I've just been managing with the gp, largely because I couldn't get in or afford to see the pain guy (and all he offered was lyrica and tramal - lyrica didn't work, and it took ages to eventually get off the tramal. ) I've just had a new referral to a rheumatologist so fingers crossed there, anyway.
Good luck with yours, too. It's such a nightmare of navigation through the system!
