And I think that sounds fantastic as a training approach too. \n\nAlso for most ultras (unless flat) there will anyways be time where you’ll hike. \n\nSo perhaps for your event: accept an ultimate goal of A) mixed *slow* running and B) walking intervals are part of it.\n\nTime on feet is key yes. \n\n… 1/2",
