Fahrenheit was not stupid. The scale was defined for its relevance to sailing. 0 degrees is near where *salt* water freezes. 100 degrees is near where sailors can't work safely.
I am not a particular fan of imperial units, but shit-talking Fahrenheit is a) unfair, and b) ignoring the relevant context.
