In a sense Bobby Kennedy is the embodiment of the right-wing medical project: the rejection of medical science in favor of ideology. See, you can't be anti-abortion or anti-trans medicine without rejecting a reality based approach to medicine. And so it's always been necessary for the right to attack to very notion that facts should be a necessary part of how medicine is regulated.
