Question for USA followers: does "Die Hard" resonate for you as "That battery that also became the name of a hit movie series", or do you just think "John McClane, Hans Gruber, et al" ?
From this side of the pond, I literally just learned of

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO-70EQ8mPA&list=WL&index=31The phrase "Die Hard" had no resonance with me outside the movie otherwise. I wondered whether this was an instance of Hollywood inserting itself into global terminology, usurping a brand?
