I really love the idea of shifters, but I'm don't like how they generally star in books with over-the-top sex.
I'd rather explore the opportunities another body (and another brain!) gives them, explore different cultures and approaches. That's much more fun, but I do need to use some tropes to gain at least some readers who are used to the other kind of paranormal shifter books...
