The thing is, the moment I get into a character's head, I am basically that character and see the world from their POV.
So, if I happen to be gay I can't get past how that barkeeper flicks his wrist shortly before he takes a bottle.
If I am a lesbian I notice I am staring at the cleavage of the accountant, need to think of something intelligent to say and then just manage a "The nice is weather, today", then wishing Earth would swallow me.
Being #genderagnostic helps, I guess.
