I'm realizing that if I didn't specifically have a spouse who's a Windows network admin / IT specialist (who therefore set up a home lab / domain, meaning the Windows I run on is the sort you use in corporate spaces that shuts down the stupid shit), I would have actually started using #Linux by now.
I still give it non-zero odds I end up there in the next decade. And I'm someone who has historically cringed and whined when forced to use Linux terminals, especially for development.
I don't know if this is that meaningful a bellwether, but it sure seems... not great, for Windows as a meaningful dev platform.
(you can even game on Linux now thanks to Proton! like holy shit!)
