"summary",
"The study, published in a newly published study, shows that microplastic particles can produce ice crystals at temperatures 5 to 10 degrees Celsius (9 to 18 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than droplets without microplastics. This suggests that microplastics in the air may affect weather and climate by producing clouds in conditions where they would not form otherwise. The researchers suspended microplastic particles in small water droplets and slowly cooled them to observe when they froze, finding that 50 percent of the droplets were frozen by the time they cooled to -8 degrees Fahrenheit (-22 degrees Celsius)."
