Starbucks' PSL is 20% more expensive than their basic latte.
I can't help but feel like they (and other cafés) subsidise the cost of making a "fancy" drink by inflating "simple" drinks.
Surely part of the "product" vs an à la carte order is that the staff have it memorised, but it shouldn't cost me 80¢ more than a PSL to order a cappuccino with the PSL additions (for example; I'd never actually do that) while a basic latte is the same price as a cappuccino.
