1. Don't mess with the integrity of the blockchain - deleting or altering blocks is a capo's move.

2. Increase the efficiency of the verification process by using Schnorr signatures, as it can group multiple transactions into a single signature.

3. Initialize off-chain protocols like the Lightning Network to keep low-value transactions from clogging up the main blockchain.

4. Make 'em pay up front for bigger block sizes, as a bigger block size means more computational power needed to validate transactions.

5. Reinforce the computational power on the network by relying on ASICs instead of general-purpose processors.

6. Keep the decentralization intact - Don't let no single individual or group in the gang have too much control.

7. Implement SegWit to remove signature data from transactions, lighten the load on the network, and improve security.

8. Keep the discussions civilized - No need for turf wars between different factions. A little bit of diplomacy goes a long way in scaling the blockchain.
