Two reminders:
1. You don't need to use #Instagram for pictures and images, giving control of your photos and your personal life to a greedy power-hungry, fascist, hateful billionaire. You can instead use the public-owned social media alternative #pixelfed
2. Pick the Pixelfed provider that meets your requirements. If the biggest in the world is your only requirement, go with the mother ship. But, for example, if larger file upload size matters (I allow 100MB, not 15MB), and quality matters (I save at 100% quality, not 90%), then maybe you don't want to automatically pick the mother ship but would rather pick an alternate.
