Vitor Pamplona (npub1gcx…nj5z) I'm trying out the new relay settings.. I need to think about it some more but my initial thoughts are, this is a bit confusing for people. I think, that the text for each of these may be a bit mis-leading but I applaud the efforts here and I think amethyst may be the first client to really figure this out.
I think instead of saying stuff like "these need to be public relays" it could say "preferred contact relay(s), and the clients can decide what it all means based on Nip11 specs?.. for example. Many of us use nostr.wine. if I want my inbox relay to prefer nostr.wine, and a secondary of nos.lol, I want to signal to other clients that if they have a subscription to wine, just use that. And only use nos if they don't. I don't want to use public relays at all if I can help it..
This type of thing, I think can be ironed out further, may take some iterations .. also, not sure why but I'm having some perf slowdown too in this build.. 👀
