I've probably mentioned, that just beyond our backyard is a forest. When it's cool outside, I like to sit outside with my camera and watch the clouds go by and the birds in the trees. When I say cool, it's relative; right now, cool means below 90° Fahrenheit.
This year we had weeks of 100° plus weather with no rain. I'm hoping it's because of El Nino and it won't happen again next summer.
Years ago, we planted a row of cypresses on the east side of our property, today they are huge and block the view from the roadway that passes by on that side. They didn't do well in the heat this summer and I'm afraid I'll need to remove them. It's a shame. I'll wait and see what happens, maybe they'll come back.
