I used Invidious and then Piped for a rather long time now and I will give up on both. I hate the fact that it's made in Electron but unlike proxied solutions Freetube actually works well and I love that, it's not the terrible Youtube interface and also doesn't rely on any third party servers! If you want to hide your IP from Google VPNs are a FAR better option in any regard and don't cost volunteers tons of money, it's just plain superior to build third party front-ends this way!
