CIS & TRANS friends: Do you remember specific moments of your original puberty? Do you remember things like first pubic, body, facial hair? Breast development, body changes, voice changes, etc?
Something I’ve realized: I don’t remember almost anything about my puberty or what I thought about it. It’s all blank. I suspect I was experiencing really severe dysphoria and was so dissociated that the memories never even formed. But maybe it’s more common than I think to not remember any of it? Maybe I’m just reading too much into it?
Would love to get a better sense of how this is for others and if this is common or uncommon.
