turns out you're supposed to run the installation script not install the debian pkg and yolo
first impression is good, i like it, ux is nicer than alt and MUCH nicer than nix
it also feels warmer than nix
i found a pkg guile-studio which is a precondigured emacs. got me kinda curious so installing that now.
as for my orig goal of installin volatility2, it turns out it's not packaged, but at least i got python2 now
