A comment got me thinking about the possibility of a functional #L2 for #Bitcoin which could provide tools to manufacture or just print physical bitcoin notes.
I know some companies like #Noteworthy and
https://www.bitcoin-banknote.com have looked into this idea, but always as a novelty and always on the base layer.
Is there any group that has looked into how this might work as a Layer 2? There are a few problems I see, like the settlement on-chain and deprecating notes, but I am interested in the possible solutions here.
I have other thoughts on how an L2 could solve the trust problems of the examples above, but won't make a wall of text as my first post. Anyone interested in exploring this idea?
