Genuinely the worst thing streaming services did to us is proliferate the 45-minute, no-commercials episode
I'm no fan of commercials, but writers being forced to constrain their episodes to 22 minutes lets them get away with so much less bullshit
45 minute episodes is how you get Peter Dinklage delivering a (written) speech in the end of GoT about how actually storytellers (ie, writers) are the real heroes
That's what writers want to do if you give them the time, you've got to bully them
