The place in the red circle is Iya Valley. Formerly one of the most remote places in Japan, but it's been receiving more and more visitors recently.
One day in Kagawa is a bit short to fully discover it, but there are a few things you can do: Ritsurin Garden (probably the most beautiful garden in Japan) being the easiest probably. My "specialty" is the islands, but if you're only here one day, it may not be practical. In Northern Tokushima, you can see the Naruto whirpools if you're there are the right time. There are also a bunch of temples from the Shikoku Pilgrimage.
