The problems with Nostr scaling right now:
- People has no idea what Bitcoin actually is so they can’t buy services with LN and may be confused by the integrations with LN.
- People are used to getting free service by selling their data and attention with ads. Nostr encourages paying instead which most people will be initially reluctant to.
- People aren’t comfortable with the idea everything will stay forever, even though deletion on other platforms is just an illusion.
- People may have difficulty grasping that there is no way to reset or change your password and how their private key needs to be secured.
Maybe we are focusing too much on designing for bitcoiners instead of the general public
