The US government wants to default on ~800 billion plus interest in USTs it owes to China. They will make up any reason to confiscate it. Either through accusations of genocide or by provoking China to prove the One China consensus.
That is the only way USA can reduce the debt to GDP ratio so as to prolong high yield regime without devaluing the DXY
I predict US government will attack TSMC and blame it on China so as to justify US sanctions, confiscation or defaulting of debt it owes to China
