I probably should have saved this one for when I was going to be playing Tomb Raider 3... But my pick for this week's #VGMWednesday hits me right in the nostalgia.
The #TombRaider title music evokes such a sense of wonder and mystery. You're not embarking on a gun totting adventure. You are unlocking the secrets of the past.
Tomb Raider is the last series of games i properly played with my Dad. We'd sit there trying to work out the puzzles together without the help of guides, and I recall it took us days to figure out how to turn the lead blocks into gold blocks in Midas' Palace.
Such great memories, and all this comes flooding back when I hear those opening strings.
