My interactions with healthcare companies are mercifully infrequent, but every time, I'm dismayed by how much friction and redundancy they create, all in service to HIPAA. Which, in turn, just leads to more entities holding our data, and more breaches, as a result.
Personal data ownership cannot come quickly enough. Along with completely dismantling the government's role in all of it.
