Disney+ and Hulu are joining HBO Max in removing lots of shows from streaming for cost savings reasons.
It sounds like these companies now believe these shows cost more in residuals & royalties than they generate in retaining or attracting new subscribers.
This is a far different philosophy from the spray and pray approach pioneered by Netflix. Another zero interest rate phenomenon.
