We can't rely on a company to guarantee free speech. Even if they want to provide free speech, it's not possible for them.
Nostr turns free speech into a code—an open standard, easy to implement and build on.
Here, we are heading in the right direction imo.
When censorship begins, it affects everyone, regardless of which side you're on. It doesn't stop until everyone adheres to the "official line."
Banning raw text is undoubtedly top-tier censorship. Remember when they tried to ban this 👌 emoji?
We are headed towards Orwellian; we must resist. If free speech is gone, everything is gone.
