I was just sitting outside my local library fishing at a stocked pond and a local sheriff's deputy returned to the police station beside the library. It happened to be a canine unit, and the officer brought the dog over to play in the field where I was fishing. I had a big fat bowl packed. I wasn't sure if there was a real concern, but I had a real concern. I slid it in my backpack and it started to rain so I made the journey back to the car. I walked within 150 ft of the dog and he seemed unconcerned. You never really know with these things.
