so I spent my late 20's foregoing everything to repay this loan aggressively as fuck, I've made $58,934 in payments, and the remaining balance is still $11,000, even with 3 years of no interest accrual. this is how they want it to work, this is pretty much the 'ideal scenario'. I married someone who earns a lot more than I do so I'm able to make payments, but we still can't do shit else.
