Concerning the situation between U.S. and TikTok, I don't get the weird discussions.
If I were in the position of the U.S. I would communicate to China:
Option 1: Twitter, Instragram, Facebook & Co will be allowed to operate in China in the same way TikTok is allowed to operate in the U.S.
Option2: TikTok will shut down.
China will never chose option 1, we know that for sure. So it would be a clear tit-for-tat that TikTok will be closed.
