I look at the history of 'Defund the Police" and find no concerted push at all from anyone that mattered, and yet it hurt people who were distancing themselves from the message. Biden, for example, implored, and then insisted that we were not defunding the police. Still got hurt.
On the other hand, Republicans who ran on "electing pro-life judges" and even promising to ban abortions, "some kind of punishment for a woman"...won.
Funny that.
