The Michigan Science Teachers Association conference is in March and has open calls for submissions. I'm expecting sessions on AI in schools and I had an idea for a proposal:
We come in and instead of talking about how AI is so helpful, we look at data and evaluate like scientists.
Data on water use.
Data on electricity use.
Data on investments.
Data on AI in the wild (scientific publishing, hiring, etc).
And we analyze that data to understand just how nightmarish it is becoming.
