It would be interesting to compare a wire vs a loop. Would you amplify your wire ant? Well, trying is how we learn, I guess.
The 18m coax vertical loop works well, cost me nothing as spare wire and is quite directional.
I'd be interested to know what you do and how it works out. 👍
